5.12.2017: Branko ANDIĆ (Podgorica): Diversity and ecological analysis of the bryophytes of Cijevna river (Montenegro and Albania), HS 32.01, Institut für Pflanzenwissenschaften, Bereich Syst. Botanik und Geobotanik, Holteigasse 6, 17:00 Uhr.
The Cijevna River springs on the mountain Prokletije in Albania, on 2694 m altitude. The river flows 20 km through Albania and 32 km through Montenegro and flows in the river Morača at 10 m altitude. Its drainage area belong to the Skadar lake basin. Partly, the river forms canyons deep to 800 m (Montenegro) or 1100 m (Albania). During the period of 2010-2017, we carried out detailed bryological research in the Cijvna River basin. We collect material at 17 localities. In general, 203 bryophyte species are registered at the research area. We find thirteen taxa now for Albania and four taxa new for Montenegro. Results of ecological analysis showed that concerning the pH substratum aspect basophil and medium basophil species were dominant. Most species are bound to moist habitats. The majority of identified bryophytes are photophilous taxa.
